MUSIC

From the early days of recorded biblical history, music has played an important role in worshippers praising God in song with voice and instruments. Christians throughout the world today still praise the Lord in song.  Music has played an important role in the New Apostolic Church for many years.  In congregations large and small, music plays a prominent part in our worship.

The New Apostolic Church encourages all to participate. Children and youth play a large part in the music associated with divine services, concerts and many other occasions within the local community.

In our Sunday School, the children derive great joy in singing and playing. As it is an important part of our worship, teaching children to sing, play musical instruments is a part of the weekly curriculum.  Our children in some areas perform in local community music festivals where they are able to present the music they learn in Sunday School and in their musical groups to a large audience.

In addition to singing, many congregations are fortunate to have small to medium instrumental ensembles. Thanks to the efforts of parents and children, the level of participation in this branch of our musical activity is growing. This contributes to the joyful atmosphere created in the congregation..
