The District Apostle recently provided advice regarding the AVT services, where it was decided to define the difference between the liturgy of a transmitted service with the congregation present, and a service purely for transmission with no congregation present at the transmission point.
A decision was made that the AVT service without a congregation present would be in the format of a ‘word service’. As absolution is not part of our ‘word service’ liturgy, this means that we will no longer pronounce absolution in our AVT services without a congregation.
